Our Price: £6.99
Normally forming a multi stemmed shrubby tree, it can grow upto 65ft (20m).
It forms an attractive tree with white flowers, bright red berries and a delicate leaf form. Various cultivars are widely planted to decorate streets and gardens.
The wild form is commonly associated with upland woodlands although it will thrive almost anywhere and provide an attractive edge tree for wildlife.
Once planted to protect farm cottages from itinerant witches it can still be seen around many farm yards.
Berries can be made into jelly, high in Vitamin C.
